Georgia Pass
Denver, ColoradoRoute Overview:
Once a major wagon route during the Colorado Gold Rush, Georgia Pass carried miners, freight wagons, livestock, and stagecoaches between South Park and the booming mining camps around Breckenridge. In 1861, it became a toll road—and more than 160 years later, you’ll be following much of that same historic path. Georgia Pass climbs through lodgepole forests, past beaver ponds and seasonal creek crossings, before emerging above tree line at 11,598 feet. Rocky terrain and loose stone add to the adventure, while the summit delivers the payoff. The spectacular 360-degree panorama is just one of highlights of the trek. Many more Hidden Wonders, stories and challenges await.
